Acquisition Creates UK’s Newest Specialist Implant Supplier
It was announced at the British Association of Spine Surgeons meeting recently that Peter Dines, the former Surgicraft Managing Director had gained agreement for his company C7 Medical Ltd to acquire the UK Surgicraft business assets and its key personnel, to form a new dedicated specialist implant supplier in the UK.
The new company will be known as Surgi C.
Commenting on the acquisition, Peter Dines said, "I am delighted to complete this acquisition which will enable us to focus 100% on the UK market in the future to provide a full range of implants and biomaterials with a first class service and support to our customers. I look forward to discussing these developments in person with many of our customers in coming months."
Peter Dines has ambitious growth plans for Surgi C via organic growth and the possibility of additional acquisitions in order to become the UK’s leading independent implant provider. As part of the agreement Surgi C will remain the exclusive UK distributor for all newly developed products by Surgicraft in addition to providing products from Paradigm Spine, Signus and a number of other suppliers. The current product range includes a full range of interbody devices, the Coflex interspinous device, a full range of bone substitute and anti-adhesion products and high quality spinal instruments from the Life Instrument company.
